Everything you need to know about peptides, our products, how to use them safely, and how your order works. If you don't find your answer here, email us at info@atlasperformance.co.za
Peptides are short chains of amino acids - the building blocks of proteins. They act as biological signals in the body, instructing cells and tissues to perform specific functions such as repair, growth, fat metabolism, or hormone release.
Unlike synthetic drugs, most research peptides mimic or amplify natural processes already occurring in the body. This generally results in fewer side effects and more targeted action. Examples include BPC-157 (which signals tissue to heal), Ipamorelin (which signals the pituitary to release growth hormone), and NMN (which restores NAD+ levels that decline with age).
Most of the peptides sold on Atlas Performance are sold for research purposes and are not classified as scheduled substances in South Africa. However, the regulatory landscape for peptides is evolving.
Some peptides (such as melanotan II and certain GH secretagogues) may fall under SAHPRA regulations if marketed with health claims. We recommend researching your specific peptide and consulting a healthcare professional familiar with peptide therapy in SA.
Atlas Performance operates transparently and does not make unverified therapeutic claims.
All brands stocked by Atlas Performance conduct third-party batch testing including HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) for purity verification and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation.
Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available for our key product lines. See our Lab Reports page for available documentation, or request a specific COA by emailing info@atlasperformance.co.za with the batch number on your packaging.
Yes - stacking is common practice. Many peptides work synergistically. Classic combinations include:
We've curated the most effective stacks based on research. See our Stacks page for ready-to-use protocols.
Browse curated stacks →Peptide Pens are pre-loaded, ready-to-use injection devices. No reconstitution or separate syringes required. Standard usage:
Each pen contains a fixed number of doses. The pen needle is ultra-fine (32g or finer) - most users describe it as nearly painless.
Yes. Peptide Pens should be stored in the refrigerator (2-8°C) when not in use. They are stable at room temperature for up to 28 days once in active use, but refrigeration extends shelf life significantly.
Do not freeze. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. The Peptide Pen Cooler Case is ideal for travel and keeping your pen temperature-stable.
The number of doses varies by pen and compound. Most pens in the Peptide Pen range contain 28-30 doses at the recommended dose per click. Specific dose information is printed on the pen label and included in the packaging insert.
Each click of the pen delivers a calibrated, measured dose - there is no guesswork involved.
Yes - Peptide Pens are specifically designed to make subcutaneous peptide administration accessible to users who have no prior injection experience. The pre-loaded, click-mechanism design removes all the complexity of traditional injectable protocols (no reconstitution, no drawing up syringes, no measurement).
We recommend starting with a lower-complexity pen such as the BPC-157 Pen, Fat Away, or Night Surge before moving to more advanced stacks.
Most research peptides have favourable safety profiles in the literature, particularly at physiological doses. BPC-157, for example, has demonstrated no observable toxic dose in animal studies. However, "safe" is context-dependent:
Atlas Performance sells all injectables for research purposes. We strongly encourage responsible use and informed decision-making.
Protocol length varies by compound:
Specific dosage and cycling information is listed on each product page under the Dosage tab.
Absolutely. Many peptides are well-suited to women and are commonly used in female protocols. Products specifically designed for women include the Peptide Pen Lady GH, Meno-Pause pen, and Skin Glow pen.
General-use peptides like BPC-157, NMN, GHK-Cu, and Semax are appropriate for all genders. Female-specific dosing guidance is available on request.
Yes - for injectable vials (lyophilised/freeze-dried peptides), you need to reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol). Do not use plain sterile water as it does not provide antimicrobial protection over multiple uses.
Note: Peptide Pens require no reconstitution - they are pre-loaded and ready to use.
